Recorder

A slightly surreal slideshow of me playing recorders at various locations on the moors around Minions, that make up part of the Cornwall and West Devon World Heritage Area. There also some recordings of Cornish Folk Tunes. For the most part the recordings are of solo recorder, but there are also some arrangements of Cornish folk tunes for recorder consort (played by the Liskeard based Lower Addington Recorder Consort) and some duets for recorder and ukelele, and soprano sax.

Cornish Folk Tunes

A selection of Cornish folk (dance) tunes The tunes were played descant, treble and tenor recorders.

The tunes are from "Fooch" (Neil Davey) and "Scoot Dances, Troyls, Furrys and Tea Treats" (Merv, Alison and Jowdy Davey) apart from "Mind the Nettles". It was planned to play the tunes without much deviation from the written parts. The tunes are traditional Cornish unless the name of the modern composer is in brackets after the song title.

Slideshow

The following slideshow was created from a video shoot as part of a bid to become an official busker at the Olympic Games in Weymouth and Portland. There is a video of the day's performances (available on request), but it is too large for the internet, and the sound quality is not great.

Thankyou to Claire (on behalf of Sterts) and Sioux (at Stuart House) for providing parts of my "costume".
